When it comes to choosing and installing countertops, understanding the process and materials is essential. Here are some frequently asked questions to guide you through the journey with Continental Granite & Marble.

Are all brands of quartz the same?

Not all quartz is created equal. At Continental, we’re committed to fabricating only high-quality quartz materials you can trust. The difference lies in the quality of materials used. For example, Cambria, a brand we carry, stands out due to its high-grade quartz and state-of-the-art U.S.-based manufacturing, which results in a color palette with unmatched depth and clarity. We’ve curated a collection of quartz brands that meet our rigorous standards, ensuring you get the best options available.

Do I need an appointment to visit the showroom?

No appointment is necessary! Our showroom is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., so you can drop by at your convenience.

Do you need measurements to provide a quote?

To get a quick and accurate quote, provide a layout or sketch of your cabinets and countertop measurements. Don’t worry about perfection—a simple sketch with rough measurements in inches will do. Rest assured, we’ll never fabricate from your measurements. Once you’re ready to proceed, we’ll take precise digital measurements to ensure a perfect fit for your countertops.

What is your lead time?

Most installations are completed within 7-10 business days after the template is finalized. However, lead times may vary depending on factors like job scope and material availability. While unforeseen delays can occur, we strive to accommodate your schedule and maintain our commitment to exceptional workmanship.

Will there be a seam in my countertop?

Our goal is to install countertops without seams whenever possible. Continental is known for achieving a seamless look, including full slab islands and single-piece tops. When seams are necessary, our skilled installers ensure they’re expertly crafted and nearly invisible—part of what we call the “Continental Difference.” Visit our showroom to see our “invisa-seam” technology in action.

Who removes the old countertops, cabinets, and sink?

In most cases, we remove old countertops free of charge. For stone, tile, or concrete countertops, a small flat fee applies. We can also remove old plumbing at no cost. However, as we’re not licensed plumbers, we cannot install new plumbing.

What is a template?

A template involves taking precise measurements to fabricate your countertops perfectly. At Continental, we use state-of-the-art digital templating technology. This ensures a flawless fit every time. If you’re replacing old countertops, you can keep them in place until the day of installation, minimizing downtime. On installation day, we’ll remove the old countertops and install the new ones in a single visit.

Template day is when all final decisions are finalized. We’ll need your new sink on hand, which we’ll bring back on installation day. Faucets and other accessories can wait until installation day for on-site adjustments. Typically, your new countertops will be installed 7-10 business days after the template is completed.

At Continental Granite & Marble, we’re dedicated to making your countertop installation seamless and stress-free. Visit us to explore our exceptional products and experience the Continental Difference firsthand!
